Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)-- The Packers playoff pep rally kicked off Friday afternoon.

Several dozen founds came out to E. Walnut Street to celebrate.

The festivities kicked off at 3:30 p.m. and last about half an hour.

Colder temperatures couldn't keep diehard fans from coming out.

Packer fan Josh Hundsrucker said, "It's cold but we'll be fine.  If you're going to do it tomorrow you've got to do it today."

Packers President, Mark Murphy, and Green Bay Mayor, Jim Schmitt, led the pep rally,.

The music was blaring, fans, were cheering, and everyone was very excited for the big game.

"We'll be tailgating and going to the game.  Wouldn't miss it for anything.  We're starting at 6 a.m.," said Packer fan Bruce Roehsner.

This years fans got the unique opportunity to ask Murphy questions about their favorite team over a teleconference Friday afternoon as well.

This was the first time Murphy took questions from fans.

More than 3,000 people called in, Murphy said.

It was such a success, they might make this a playoff tradition.

Saturday's game against the Minnesota Vikings kicks off at 7 p.m.

After last week's narrow 37-34 loss at the metrodome, fans are hopeful for a big win.
