He is using stem cells from amniotic fluid that surrounds fetuses in the womb, to heal damaged kidneys. The cells can actually help a dying kidney fix itself.
The doctor believe the same stem cells could be directly injected into a patient's diseased organ. It could change the future for those suffering from acute kidney disease, diabetes and genetic disorders.
