"It was really exciting, I mean it was a rush," says Thenell.
He did a 1,200 foot wheelie, on ice, at 112 mph. It shattered the old record.
"(The old record) was 108 mph at 200 meters (625 feet)," says Thenell.
But to make it into the Guiness Book of World Records, it has to be official.
"The rules stated that you had to have two GPS units, one on the machine, one on the person, a radar gun at the end, a witness at the beginning of the wheelie and a witness at the end of the wheelie," says Thenell.
Special spiked tires helped Thenell break the record. His friends say they are not surprised.
"Trevor likes to ride on the ice, he likes to ride hard and on the edge, and that's what it takes," says Steve White.
Thenell says the only thing left to do is send the info to Guiness.
"I'm really excited to have a talent of mine come out in a positive light," says Thenell.
The old record was set in Dane County earlier this year.
