OSHKOSH, Wis (WFRV) - The Oshkosh Common Council is taking up a proposed increase in its storm water utility rate. Residents would pay 15 percent more July 1st if approved.

The money from the rate increase will go toward a system upgrade to help prevent flooding. The rate paid by a typical homeowner would increase by $10.84 a year and that will make the overall annual payment $83.20.

The Common Council meets tonight at 6 PM and we will bring you the latest on Local 5 News at 10.
