Green Bay  (WFRV)  A female suspect is in custody and her boyfriend is dead following an early morning stabbing in Green Bay.

Lois Pilar Velaszquez has been arrested, and authorities are requesting a charge of First Degree Intentional Homicide.

The Green Bay Police Department says officers responded just before 2 a-m Saturday morning--- to a report of a stabbing in an apartment on South Quincy Street.

When officers arrived they found a 35 year old male unconscious with a laceration to his upper chest.

The victim lived in the apartment with Velaszquez--- his girlfriend.

Police say there was an argument between the two.  That is when Velaszquez grabbed several knives and attacked the man--- stabbing him at least one time in the upper chest.

The suspect and another family member were in the apartment when officers arrived--- Velaszquez was administering first aid to the victim.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
