Neenah (WFRV)- Neenah Police have released the name of the woman killed in yesterday's deadly house fire in Neenah. She is 35 year old Elisa Banicki.

The couple was home when the fire started just after midnight.

Neighbors were able to help get the woman's fiance, Mark Blank, out of the home, but the woman had to be taken out by firefighters. She died of smoke inhalation and thermal burns.

Fire officials say the blaze started in the living room and they can rule out everything but smoking materials as the cause.

"The individual was in the upper deck which is a top patio, and the neighbor had a ladder and the neighbor and male tried to get her down.  Our crews assisted and brought her down to the ground."  Said Asst. Chief Vernon Green, Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue.

Asst. Chief Green says there were no smoke detectors in the home.
