Update: Charlie Knuth Still Struggling

DARBOY, Wis. (WFRV) Doctors are still unclear what is causing Charlie Knuth to have so much pain.

What is known, however, is the six-year-old from Darboy does not have pertussis. Those results came back over the weekend.

Charlie is still hospitalized at the University of Minnesota Hospital. He is still not able to breathe on his own and continues receiving multiple blood and platelet transfusions every day.

According to his mother Trisha, if his breathing stabilizes, he will undergo bone marrow testing today to see if he is still able to produce the cells he needs.
