APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) Supporters of Mitt Romney were back on the road again Monday, with stops in Appleton.  That's where Utah Senator Mike Lee talked with local volunteers about controversial remarks recently made by President Obama.

You may have already seen the ads, where the President says of small business owners, "If you've got a business - you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen."  Democrats say those comments were taken out of context.  But Lee, and others, have made it a hot-button campaign issue.

"Some fear that it's reflective of a mindset that the government is a source of prosperity and we know that not to be true," says Lee, who won election as a Tea Party candidate in 2010.

Supporters of President Obama say he was referring to the help given to small businesses in the form of education, roads and other infrastructure.  Monday's rally was similar to others that have taken place in Green Bay, Germantown and Waukesha.
