Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)--In Green Bay, ten local churches united to observe Good Friday.

The Salvation Army hosted a service this afternoon at the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center.

The churches urged their parishioners to take time from their busy lives to observe Good Friday as one.

The Salvation Army's Karl Blessing put it this way, "Even though we attend different churches, we all have that common belief in Christ and that he died but was resurrected on Sunday. You can't have Sunday without Good Friday."

Good Friday is observed by Christians everywhere as the day Jesus Christ died on the cross.
