Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)-US Senate candidate Tommy Thompson unveiled his plans for tax reform today on a campaign swing through Green Bay.

The former Republican Governor of Wisconsin calls the current tax system dysfunctional.

Thompson's plan would maintain the Bush era tax cuts, create a flat tax, and exempt capital gains from being taxed when re-invested.

Says Thompson, "Give every American the opportunity to invest 100-thousand dollars tax- free on capital gains. That's investing in businesses and stocks and bonds and so on and you will see this economy take-off."

Republican Senate candidate Mark Neumann was also in Green Bay today, talking about his plan to crack down on special interests and lobbyists in Washington D.C.
