Trial starts over future of voter I.D. law

Madison, Wis. (WFRV-TV) - A trial is scheduled to start today on a possible permanent injunction of the state's Voter I.D. law.

A Dane County judge issued a temporary injunction last month in response to a lawsuit by the NAACP. A second judge issued a similar ruling in a lawsuit brought by the League of Women Voters.

Even if the injunction is made permanent this is far from the end of this battle.
