We've all heard of flash mobs; but soon Green Bay will be getting its first "cash mob."

Participants will get together for a synchronized shopping trip at a specific business at a chosen time to encourage consumers to buy local.  The first hit; The Book Stop on Military Avenue.

Cash mob organizer, Nancy Eade says, "not a lot of people have the money to give to charities like they would like to.  But can they spend $5.00 once a month at a local shop?  It's so simple."

The group will shop Saturday from 1-3pm.  A new business will be chosen next month.
