Wisconsin ties to tragic Colorado shooting

WHITEWATER, Wis. (WFRV) - One of those in the tragic Colorado theater shooting attended college in Wisconsin.
The accused gunman, James Eagan Holmes, 24, is expected in court this morning. Holmes faces charges for killing 12 people and injuring dozens more.
The victim with a Wisconsin connection is U.S. Navy Cryptologist John Larimer, 27. Larimer was a UW-Whitewater graduate, who grew up in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
The university issued the following statement on Facebook, "We are heartbroken to learn that one of our alums, John Larimer, class of 2008, was killed in the Colorado Shootings. Our thoughts are with his family and friends in this difficult time."
