Appleton, Wis.(WFRV)-- Students walking near campus in Appleton can now feel safer, thanks to clearer signs pointing out pedestrian walkways.

Appleton police were concerned about a number of incidents in which pedestrians were nearly hit on College Avenue, because motorists missed the signs pointing out the pedestrian walkways.

Now, new signs have been put up that will more clearly indicate the walkways.
