Home sales up in northeast Wisconsin

Little Chute, Wis.(WFRV)--Jan LeFebvre and her family moved back to the area from Iron Mountain, Michigan.
They sold their house in just two weeks.
Before buying a two story, four bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home in Little Chute, Wisconsin, the LeFebvre Family looked at a lot of homes.
Their real estate agent, Ramona Taylor-Debruin, from Re/Max Real Estate explains it this way.
"We looked at 50 houses together and then they looked at some on their own. So you can see, in this price range of just under $225,000, there's a lot of inventory out there."
More homes are being sold this year since the housing market crashed in 2007
In northeast Wisconsin alone, home sales grew by 14.7 percent.
Realtors sold 6,212 homes between Januarh and September of this year.
But just because things are better, doesn't mean that foreclosures have slowed.
Investors are also in the market, buying homes and properties to fix up and flip, or rent.
And banks are not giving out money as freely as they did before.
Local Five's Donald Robinson has the story.
