MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) Taxpayers in Menasha are getting more information about plans to renovate Menasha High School.  School Board members shared results of a recent survey Thursday night.

More than 1,500 were questioned about two proposals to remodel the school.  One plan would cost between $26 and $30 million, expanding the school by 45,000 square feet.  The other costs between $37 and $41 million and adds 56,000 square feet.

The smaller, cheaper option would remodel the old gym instead of demolishing it for more room.  The School Board President is pushing for a proposal to go before voters next year in a referendum.

A recent survey of taxpayers shows 83% favor taking action to improve Menasha High while interest rates are low and the construction market remains competitive.
