GREEN BAY, Wisc. (WFRV) Thousands of hunters are expected to make their way to their favorite hunting spot today.

The DNR says gun deer license sales are way up compared to last year. They're expecting sales to pick up even more today and tomorrow as hunters head out to the woods.

Traffic on highways is expected to increase because of the deer hunt. A combination of high volume traffic and high incidents of car/deer crashes has the State Patrol issuing a word of caution to drivers.

Local Five's Wendy Fleury brings us the story.
