BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - For the third straight year The Wisconsin badgers are headed to the Rose Bowl.

On New Year's day they will play number eight Stanford in Pasadena California.

The stands will be full of badgers fans, because Local 5 found out travel packages are selling fast.

"I got home last night and I checked the travel packages out right away and I said we're going" says Badgers fan Chuck Hoffman.

This marks Rose Bowl number five for him. "It is still almost a dream. We're almost pinching ourselves yet".

At least 250 others are traveling with Hoffman through the Wisconsin Alumni Association.

"It is like traveling with family,  because we get to know some of these people who are on every trip" he explains.

Phones are also busy at Fox World Travel in De Pere.

They have two planes to fill.

"It is fantastic because generally business dies a little before Christmas and then really get busy in January. We compete with Christmas and holiday season so this has been very welcome business" says Brian Hurley, the Vice President of Fox World Travel's vacation division.

Packages through Fox World start at $2350.

"There is the possibility if demand is really strong today and tomorrow that they may add another plane" Hurley explains.

Make sure you check travel packages carefully. While Fox World includes airfare and a ticket to the Rose Bowl, not all tours do.

For fans who cannot make it to Pasadena, local Badgers alumni are bringing a piece of the Rose Bowl to Titletown, by organizing an event at the Green Bay Distillery.

"We are looking forward to New Years day having a party here, we'll have a bunch of badgers here, badger music,  food and drink specials, raffles" says Barry Paye, past president of the Brown County chapter of the Wisconsin Alumni Association.
