Wausau, Wis.(WFRV)-- A 49 year old Appleton man who accused two people in a road rage incident,  held the suspects at gunpoint until help arrived.

Wausau police say the man called 9-1-1 to report that a van he just passed on Highway 29 outside of Wausau was ramming his SUV from behind.  He pulled off the road - that's when the couple in the van followed - got out and started hitting and stabbing him with car keys.

The Appleton man - who had a concealed carry permit - pulled out his gun and waited for police.

The driver of the van, Nicholas Flanagan, 30, and the passenger in the van, Jessica Ratliff, 26, both of Menominee, Mich., were arrested and booked on preliminary misdemeanor charges of battery and disorderly conduct.
