New Certified Site in Village of Howard

Green Bay (WFRV) - The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation has named the Village of howard - owned 77-acre property known as the "Mill Center," a Wisconsin Certified Site.
The property is now one of only nine certified sites in the state.
The special designation reassures site selectors and potential developers that the property is pre-approved for large industrial development.
Officials say having the property officially certified gives the village a critical advantage.
"When some one's going to build a company, start a company or move jobs around the country, they're looking everywhere." Says Village Administrator Perry Evert, "and you have to stand out. So the one way to stand out is to be ready and have a site that our state's stamped their seal of approval on."
To be certified, a site must be at least 50 acres, have potential for utility and transportation infrastructure, and undergo multiple environmental assessments.
