Consumer electronics that do not use an internet connection will no longer have access to guide data. Guides on these devices will no longer be functional. However, if you use internet connection to receive guide data, you will not be affected.
The current market is undergoing a transition to a digital data delivery service via internet connection. Rovi has relied on traditional over-the-air traditional broadcast service and now the agreements with those providers is in the process of ending. If your guide does not have a connection, your screen will simply display "No Data For this Screen" .
All guides in devices that receive broadcast data via an antenna or a cable television connection in the U.S. and Canada will be affected. Rovi Guides that receive their data via the internet will not be affected.
Rovi will continue to provide this data over the internet for internet capable guides.
