Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)- The City of Green Bay has a new police chief.

Police and the Fire Commission named Thomas Molitor as the new chief.

Molitor came out of retirement to serve as interim police chief when Jim Arts retired back in July. Arts left the force last year to take over as the head of security with the Tennessee Titans. Molitor was initially hired by the department in May of 1980, as a police cadet.

Molitor was one of four finalists for the position.
