APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) From blockbuster films, to books and parodies - Abraham Lincoln has been in the spotlight a lot recently. The Outagamie County Republican Party held its annual Lincoln Day Dinner to celebrate our 16th President. It's the group's largest fundraiser of the year. Governor Walker served as the keynote speaker.
Many in attendance turned their attention to the Governor's upcoming budget address. Although some republicans don't agree with everything they've heard so far.
"I question a few things," said republican State Sen. Rob Cowles. "The power plant thing. I'll look for deeper analysis on that."
"I think the important thing is we don't have an income tax cut and don't spend money unnecessarily," added fellow republican State Sen. Glenn Grothman.
The Governor will release his budget Wednesday in Madison.
