GREEN BAY, Wisc. (WFRV) A popular Green Bay nightclub may get its liquor license pulled.

The fate of Liquid 8, 201 N Washington St., goes before a special meeting of the Protection and Welfare Committee tonight. At that meeting, the liquor license holder, Jennifer Calhoun, must explain why the licenses issued to the bar should not be revoked or suspended.

This comes after several years of problems found at the establishment. The most recent on February 1 of this year when a man was stabbed. During the course of the investigation into the incident, the bar manager was found intoxicated behind the bar and serving customers after bar close. Calhoun was cited for disorderly house and operating a licensed premises after hours.

Numerous times Calhoun was cited for allowing underage people to enter the premises and then serving them alcohol.

According to a summons issued to Calhoun, police have been called to Liquid 8 for numerous other brawls, assaults and even another stabbing. Those incidents led to several citations for disorderly house.

Green Bay Police records show a total of 56 police calls in 2012, 49 in 2011 and 41 calls for service to the bar in 2010.

After tonight's hearing, the Protection and Welfare Committee will submit a report to the Common Council and recommend what action the Council should take.

If all the complaints are found to be true, both the Class B licenses issued to Liquid 8 could be either suspended or revoked.
