Green Bay (WFRV) - Many Wisconsin  Police and Fire Departments have some type of benefit to raise money for special causes.

Now Green bay agencies are looking to start something of their own.

The first full length pick-up hockey game was played Thursday night between Green Bay Police and Fire and Rescue Squads.

It started out as being a simple mini-game during periods of Gamblers games.   But besides the friendly competition, department heads are now  looking at the big picture.

"This is just getting us set at the ground level.  Eventually we look to have a major event that is a fundraiser for Muscular dystrophy."  Said David Siegel of the Green Bay Fire Department.

The event also is an opportunity for the departments to enjoy bonding in a stress free environment.
