Green Bay, WI (WFRV)- Police are releasing more information tonight about a stabbing on the city's eastside, and are asking for your help in finding the suspect.
Officers were called to the La Perla grocery store on Lime Kiln Road last night just before 8:30 Saturday night. Police say the suspect was armed with a knife. The owner of the grocery store suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. He is now in stable condition. Officers say shots were fired during the robbery attempt but no one was hit.
Green Bay Police tell Local 5 the suspect is a dark Hispanic male in his 20's, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a thin build and longer straight dark hair. He also has a bite mark on his left forearm that he received from the store owner during the struggle.
Police say there have been a rash of burglaries at local Hispanic businesses lately, but do not know if they are related at this time.
If you have any information you are asked to contact Green Bay Police.
