GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Bright colors are now bringing therapy to life for some children in Green Bay.
Members of Leadership Green Bay decorated the inside of the CP Center on Webster Avenue. Fourteen murals now cover the once white walls.
Volunteers spent 1,100 hours bringing the therapy rooms to life for kids with special needs.
"We actually went around and collected thoughts from a number of people in the Green Bay area," explained Leadership Green Bay member Sue Zittlow. "We looked at that project list and said, gosh, we really are about children and wellness and the special needs population touches our hearts."
"Since we've had this done, we've brought therapy to life," explained Director of Therapy Services, Lisa Sharapata. "We incorporate play in our therapeutic strategies and we're seeing the children actively participate and be engaged in therapy now."
The center services about 120 children with special needs.
