Appleton (WFRV)   On average, there are more than thirteen hundred children and adults reported missing in Wisconsin.

As part of National Missing Children's Day--- a local group is getting involved.

Mission: Home is dedicated to finding missing people.  The non-profit organization is launching a new initiative to help find those who are lost and reconnect them with their families.  It's a team effort approach.

Jay Breyer is one of the founders of Mission: Home.  He has been dedicated to finding missing people for more than 20 years.

When a loved one goes missing, it's devastating for those left behind.

Which is why Mission: Home is dedicated to finding those who are lost and helping the families through the process.

This Friday the organization is launching a new program called FAST--- which stands for Family Advocacy Support team.

the team will consist of 3 advocates that are available 24-7 to the family. A team coordinator, information specialist and a logistics person.  they will offer support, work with law enforcement and get media attention quickly.

"We really developed this FAST program for the first 24 hours.  That's what's in place right now.  How to react efficiently within the first hour of the call.  How to get the best tools, agencies in place."  Said Jay Breyer

The team will also provide long term help for the families  and those who have been found--- who are struggling with what they went through.
