Dead Cattle Found in Barn

Shawano County (WFRV) A foul odor leads authorities to dozens of dead animals in Shawano County.

 

The Shawano County Sheriff's Department received a tip from a person reporting a "foul odor" coming from a barn on a non-working farm in the town of Belle Plaine.

 

When officers arrived with a search warrant they found 24 cattle of varying ages dead inside the barn.

 

a 50 year old Shawano man was arrested on felony charges of animal neglect resulting in death.
