Appleton, WI (WFRV)- Hundreds of Lawrence University graduates are on campus this weekend for the college's annual alumni reunion weekend celebration, and one decided to take the big leap in front of his peers.

Andrew Cecka decided the best way to ask his long time girlfriend Mo McKenna to marry him was on top of a fire truck at their 10th class reunion, and of course, she said yes.

Cecka collaborated with university officials to pull off the public proposal as part of a 'what do you love about Lawrence' contest, Mo had no idea.

"I was completely floored and I had no idea, I was completely surprised and I'm still really really surprised it was beautiful.

"It was great I was not as nervous as I thought I would be oh my gosh I'm so glad it went as planned I love this girl," Andrew said.

The couple hasn't set a date yet, but they plan on being married in less than a year.
