SHAWANO COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) A 76-year-old Pulaski man landed in the hospital Monday morning after crashing his ultralight aircraft in Shawano County.

The Shawano County Sheriff's Department says Byron Aprill was piloting the aircraft when it crashed near the town of Maple Grove.

Authorities say they are not sure what caused the aircraft to go down near HWY 156 and Laney Road.

Aprill was taken to the hospital for observation, but is expected to be alright.
