GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) The Bassmaster Elite Deries in Green Bay is off to a big start.  Thursday, the top bag was 20 pounds.  Officials are quick to point out that take is larger than all of the others during the Bassmaster tournament last week in La Crosse.

But some have expressed concern about the DNR's decision to establish a northern boundary for the competition.  Many anglers wanted to catch in areas like Sturgeon Bay.

Bassmaster organizers say the boundaries were a surprise, but common for the DNR.  "That's not unusual for them.  They didn't do anything for bass tournaments that they don't do for other tournaments that come out of Green Bay," says B.A.S.S Conservation Director Noreen Clough.

Bassmaster continues through Sunday.  Nearly 100 anglers are participating.  Top prize is $100,000.

Organizers say the boundaries have not soured them on holding future tournaments in Green Bay.
