The Packers wrapped up their first full week of training camp this morning at Ray Nitschke Field with their 6th morning practice.  Mike McCarthy set up their schedule based around the fact that the team will play all four of their preseason games on Thursday nights, and he told the media that the majority of the team likes to get their "work" done in the morning.  Every practice so far has started at 8:15 am, but over the next two weeks all but two practices will be held at 7:00 pm.

In news and notes of the day, RB John Kuhn and LB Desmond Bishop returned to practice and replacement refs were on hand in preparation for the possibility that the NFL will be using them during preseason games.  There was an emphasis on blitz packages and drills with the defense getting the upper hand for the most part of the morning.  John Madden and Ron Wolf were in attendance at todays practice in addition to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.  The commish not only greeted fans, but took pictures, and met with the media during the middle of practice.
