Oak Creek, Wis.(WFRV)--

In a packed high school gymnasium, mourners come to say goodbye to the six victims of a shooting that has shaken this country.

All were killed last Sunday at a Sikh temple in Oak Creek.

Governor Scott Walker attended today's funeral services, and told the crowd, "Today we mourn with you, we pray with you and we support you."

The overflow crowd, many wearing scarves on their heads in the Sikh tradition, greeted family members with hugs and filed by the six open caskets.

Members of the Oak Creek police department were also on hand

Photos of those killed and injured were shown on a video screen.

40 year old Wade Michael Page opened fire at the temple last Sunday before prayer services.

After being shot by officers responding to the scene...Page took his own life.

Temple President Satwant Singh Kaleka was killed while trying to disarm page.

Today Kaleka's grandaughter said she's been overwhelmed by the love of strangers.

Attorney General Eric Holder call the shooting a hate crime and an attack on civil rights.

But in the face of so much pain, he marveled at the Sikh community's ability to heal.

Over the next two days, members of this community will read the Sikh holy bible from cover to cover...in a traditional rite honoring the dead.
