Cascade, Wis. (WFRV) - Sheriff's deputies in Sheboygan County say they've found the body of a man who fell out of a boat into Lake Ellen nearly 2 weeks ago.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department says the body of 28-year-old James Piechocki of Plymouth was found just before 8 o'clock Saturday morning by a search crew.

Piechocki fell into Lake Ellen back on August 26th while he was boating with relatives.

Search crews used cadaver dogs and advanced imaging technology for days to find Piechocki's body.

Larry Bricco, the leader of the search team, says conditions in the lake were tough for divers.

"you're looking at in some places were as much as 4 to 5 feet of silt and muck," Bricco says. "So your visibility is zero to none when divers down on the bottom, they can only see a foot in front of them or 2 feet with the spotlight."

Meanwhile family members say they're thankful for the work firefighters, and search crews put into the search.

A special memorial for James Piechocki was held this afternoon and family members say they are organizing several benefits to help pay for the rescue efforts.
