ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WFRV) Volunteers with Prevea Health spent the afternoon stuffing care packages to send to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It's part of an annual event to send warm wishes to troops during the holidays.  420 boxes will be shipped, filled with items like toothpaste, deodorant and magazines.  This year, nearly 150 volunteers helped with the event.

"They are so willing to step up and when it's for our troops we have an enormous outpouring in terms of donations and hands to help today," said Prevea Senior V.P. of Human Resources Deb Mauthe.

Organizers say last year, troops were so grateful for the care packages, volunteers received thank you notes for the next three months.
