Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)--Today, the Salvation Army of Brown County officially kicked off it's Red Kettle campaign, accompanied by a drum roll from the Ashwaubenon High School drumline.
SA will attempt to raise 1.2 million dollars this year.
Last year's campaign got within 35-thousand dollars of its one million dollar goal as more than 25-thousand volunteers logged more than 10-thousand hours of bell-ringing.
You can still help out. More than 1,000 volunteers have signed up for one hour shifts, but the Salvation Army of Brown County needs another 13, 000 volunteers at 56 different Green Bay kettle locations between now and December 27th.
For more information, and to sign up, head to the Salvation Army website.
