Madison, Wis. (WFRV) - Hunters are joining a fight to stop the unregulated use of dogs to hunt wolves.

More than a dozen hunters have joined a lawsuit, along more than 40 state humane societies.

That suit has put a halt to using dogs right now.

The groups argue without rules from the DNR, dogs could be hurt or killed while hunting.

A Dane county judge will continue to hear motions in the case.
