Fond du Lac, Wis. (WFRV) - An early morning crash in Fond du Lac has killed one teen and seriously injured two others.

It happened around three a.m. on Fond du Lac avenue, rescue crews found the car up against a tree.

Officers say the driver 18-year-old Gilberto Castaneda-Bobadilla from Eden has life threatening injuries. Meanwhile, 17-year-old Giovanni Clouse of Dotyville was pronounced dead at the scene, and 17-year-old Alex Schultz from Campbellsport was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries.

We spoke with Kristen Langer, the Principal of Campbellsport High School this afternoon, she tells us counselors are on hand to help students through this difficult time.

"The news of this accident was breaking right as our school day was starting," she says, "so a lot of kids came to school today without knowing what was going on and had to find out shortly after so its definitely a rough day for our staff and our students."

The Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting Fond du Lac police in the investigation.
