Green Bay, Wis. (WFRV) - Thanksgiving came early for more than 200 northeast Wisconsin residents.

Today, the Salvation Army of Brown County offered a free Thanksgiving luncheon for all in the community.

WPFF radio in Sturgeon Day donated 20 turkeys to get things started, and the Salvation Army provided gravy, mashed potatoes, pies and all the traditional fixings.

"It's easy for us in the Salvation Army or social services to tell about the people we serve," Major Donald Kincaid of the Salvation Army says, "but these are really people with hopes and dream, its all worthwhile"

The Salvation Army is also asking people to bring non-perishable food items to tonight's Green Bay Gamblers hockey game to benefit food for neighbors.
