Cyber Monday largest day of the year for Oshkosh craft e-store

Today is known as "Cyber Monday".

It earned the name as people returned to work after the holiday and shopped online at the office where they had access to faster internet service.

Now, with many Americans having instant access at home and on their Smartphone, has Cyber Monday lost its punch?

"Cyber Monday, one day isn't enough. We do kind of cyber week. 3 days of deals" says Dean Duehring, owner of Craft-e-Corner.

Orders are pouring in for die cut machines at the best prices of the year.

"You are getting free shipping, and you are getting the great deal, ultimately you get everything you could on black Friday, but you can stay in your pajamas" explains Duehring.

Order volume is so high this is the one time of year UPS actually drops a trailer off at Craft-e-Corner to be filled with Cyber Monday purchases.

"We traditionally do as much volume today as we do in the entire month of July" says Duehring.

Craft-e-corner does not have a brick and mortar location.

Workers process orders from a warehouse in Oshkosh. International sales make of 10 percent of the business.

However for retailers like Shopko a website and app compliment sales in the store.

"It has completely taken off for Shopko. We are going to do twice the amount of business that we did the previous year. [The website] has been a huge growth channel for the overall organization" says Mike Sidders, VP of e-commerce for Shopko.

However, to entice online shoppers this entire week Shopko will offer deals not available in the store.

"I would say go back and check a site very often and take advantage of offers as they come up" says Sidders.

Cyber Monday sales across the nation are projected to be about $1.5 billion, up from 1.3 billion last year.
