Green Bay, Wis (WFRV) APAC Customer Services Inc., in Green Bay will hire between 250-300 people over the next few months. It is part of a long list of companies bringing new jobs into the area.

"I applied here and they offered me the job the day of my interview," says APAC new hire Amanda Sheedy.

Sheedy is just one o f the new hires APAC will make over the next few months. The job is nothing to sneeze at, full-time with benefits. Compensation is judged case by case, but APAC says the possibilities are endless.

"You get your foot in the door, we have a lot of opportunities, a lot of growth opportunities with APAC," says APAC Recruiter Denise Caelwaerts.

Fred Monique at the Green Bay Chamber of Commerce says, there are more good, high paying jobs on the way, and given your situation, it may be ok to wait.

"I don't think there is one standard answer that I can give you for that, but I do think it bears consideration that they don't necessarily look at the very first job that's offered to them," says Monique.

Monique sites opportunities like the 160+ new jobs announced at United Healthcare, FedEx building a 100,000 sq foot facility in Ashwaubenon, and the construction of a new veterans hospital opening next spring.

"I think it is just indicative of the overall economy in the State of Wisconsin and our budgetary situation, as well as relaxing governmental regulations," says Monique.

Sheedy spent six months looking for a job after college. She's excited about working for APAC, but wants to be a high school history teacher. She says her first job is a stepping stone.

"This is a really good holding area for me, to work for a while, maybe find something with the company, butthen I can go back to school," says Sheedy.
