Local Non-profits receive holiday gift

Green Bay (WFRV) - Local non-profit organizations received quite the surprise recently. Organizations like the Salvation Army of Brown County learned Norma and Angus Beaton had left their life savings to charity 25 years ago.

The donations totaled more than 1.7 million dollars. 342 thousand was given to each the American Red Cross, YMCA, and the Bay Area Humane Society. The Salvation Army of Brown County got the most with a 685 thousand dollar donation.
