Fire breaks out at Lambeau Field

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Firefighters were called to Lambeau Field on Wednesday afternoon.

Flames and smoke were spotted in a stairwell of a stadium construction zone near the Oneida Nation Gate. A total of five fire trucks responded to 1265 Lombardi Avenue around 2:00 p.m.

The fire was quickly extinquished, but crews stayed on scene for a couple of hours to monitor the situation.

The estimated damage is at $5,000, according to the Green Bay Packers. There were no injuries.
