House, Garage destroyed by fire in Sheboygan Co.

Town of Rhine, Wis. (WFRV) - Deputies say a house and a garage were destroyed by fire Thursday afternoon.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department says it happened on the 8500 block of Ridge Creek Road in the Town of Rhine, north of Elkhart Lake.

Deputies say The fire initially started in the attached garage area of the home and later spread to the house. The home was completely consumed by the fire; there were no reported injuries. The family was assisted by the American Red Cross.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office responded along with the Franklin, Glenbeulah, Greenbush, Howards Grove, Elkhart Lake, Cascade, Ada, St. Cloud, Plymouth and Kiel fire departments responded to the scene to fight the fire.

The fire remains under investigation by the Sheboygan County Fire Investigation Team.
