GREEN BAY, Wisc. (WFRV) We Packers fans love our playoff football. And on the eve of Saturday night's Wild-Card game against the Vikings at Lambeau - everyone is feeling Packers fever.

The day before the Packers meet the Vikings for the third time this season,  the atmosphere in Green Bay is a bit electric. Outside the Brown County Courthouse, statutes wear green and gold; banners decorate city streets; and fans engage in a good old-fashioned pep rally.

"Our players are real excited," said Green Bay Packers President, Mark Murphy. "Everyone can't wait for the game tomorrow night."

Yes, the game.  The second meeting between these two teams in less than a week.

"It's so important that tomorrow they get off early," said WDUZ sports announcer and former Packers player, Harry Sydney.

On Sports Talk Radio, the discussion centers on the X's and O's; the keys to victory; and how to advance in the playoffs.

"If you look at Aaron Rodgers versus Christian Ponder," said WDUZ sports announcer, Chris Havel. "If Aaron loses tomorrow night, it's a team loss - but it's on him."

"They can't afford to have dropped balls, turnovers or penalties," said Sydney.

Based on ticket sales from Ticket King, a lot of Vikings fans will be traveling to Lambeau.

"30 percent will be Vikings fans," said ticket broker Travis Loftus. "I'd say 20,000 is my rough guess based on the sales we've had."

But when those Vikings fans arrive,  they'll be greeted by Green and Gold Nation - fans waiving G-Force rally towels - Titletown's faithful - filled with Packers fever.

"It just amps it up that much more," said Kandi Goltz of the Packers' Fan Development office. "This is a playoff game. Your season is starting all over again.  This is the road to the Super Bowl."

A road the Packers have traveled many times before.  A trip all of these fans desperately want to take again.
