Updated: January 16, 2013
Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)- Marijuana is getting attention in Madison today.

It could be up to state residents to approve possible reform to marijuana laws. The referendum would be handled similar to those passed in Colorado and Washington.

Language for the referendum would have to include regulation and taxation of marijuana production, consumption and sales.

Cannabis activists from around the state are expected to be at the capitol to lobby for the referendum.
