OSHKOSH, Wisc. (WFRV) The wait is over for family and friends of the 1157th based out of Oshkosh.

Today is welcome home day.

Soldiers from the 1157th conducted convoy escort missions for the past 10 months in Afghanistan. Today, about 130 of those soldiers will be treated to a grand ceremony, welcoming them home and thanking them for their service.

Local 5's Wendy Fleury met up with the family of Spc. Joshua Elliman. They say this day couldn't come soon enough. Click the video link above to see their moving interview.
