Green Bay, Wis (WFRV) - It wasn't too cold for hundreds of local kids to take a dip on Sunday. Of course it was inside.

The Green Bay YMCA swim team hosted this weekend's Titletown Freeze Swim Meet.

425 area athletes competed in over 100 events at the downtown Green Bay YMCA. Swimmers ranged in age from five to 18 and came from all over northeaster Wisconsin and parts of Upper Michigan.

"Swimming is definitely a year-round sport" says YMCA director of competitive swimming, David Korst. "Green Bay is a year-round program, so most of the kids are not out of the water hardly at all."

Nine different YMCA teams participated in Sunday's meet.
