Oshkosh, Wis. (WFRV) - Law enforcement officers helped students in Oshkosh get active Tuesday.
Oshkosh police officers and Winnebago County Sheriff's deputies led third graders from Webster Stanley Elementary in some fitness exercises. It's part of the "Play Time Means No Time for Crime" program.
The third graders went through an obstacle course just like real officers do. Officers say these drills teach more than just physical health.
"It also teaches them responsibility I know they are only third graders but staying out of trouble it the big thing," Officer Joseph Nichols of the Oshkosh Police Department says.
The play time means no time for crime program will move to Jacob Shapiro Elementary School in Oshkosh Wednesday.
